Artist's Comments

I made this stamp, because I am getting rather tired of people that can't stop to assume English is your first language. Therefor, this stamp is for everyone that does not have English as their first language.

I am tired of grammar nazi's, and people that think you understand every word they write to you.
English is not my (our) first language, so live with it.
Sure you can correct me (us) but do it in a nice way. There is no need to call people dumb or whatsoever.

Feel free to use it in your journal/shoutbox!

Special thanks to *Tooku-Mori who made me think of this idea!

It's hard to read the text, with the anti-aliasing around it.
Other than that, I support this stamp.
:iconmajoor-druiloor:
Heh I made it like in 5 seconds, I'll try and have a better one someday when I'm not so tired -_-....thanks so much for the support!

Yeah, I get irritated with people like that, too- and I'm a native English speaker. It goes both ways- I wouldn't like people to be nasty with me just because my German or Spanish or whatever isn't perfect or even limited to a 1st year proficiency. Everyone doesn't speak the same language on the internet.

btw, what is your first language?

I agree--I'm Vietnamese, and therefore, I didn't even learn English until I was enrolled in school, despite the fact that I've lived in the US my entire life.

I still have some trouble with grammar.

Yes exactly! However, I based my stamp more on English, because it is the language that most of the world can speak. Properly, or unproperly, but enough to understand eachother.
And it does indeed work both ways, but like I said before, it's the language most people can speak.

My first language is Dutch, as I was born in the Netherlands. However I am only 50% Dutch in blood. ^^
Thanks so much for your comment on the stamp, and your interest in me!

I don't remember how I learned it, apart from school I mean.
I lived in the Netherlands my entire life, and I make even grammar errors in my native language >.>...

Thanks for the comment and the favourite! I am so happy to see so many people agree!
